We were so lucky to find Shannon and have her photograph our wedding. The choice you make in photographer is not to be taken lightly - the photos are how you will remember your event in years to come - and we knew as soon as we met Shannon that this would be a great partnership. She was very flexible about meeting me, both when we first "interviewed" her for the job, and later the week before the wedding - she drove many miles to meet me, as we live quite far away from her. She was incredibly professional and prepared, and her talent was evident as I looked through the galleries of other weddings she had shot. Her pricing was fair, and we were always 100% clear on what was included in our package. She helped me work out a timeline, and she asked questions about our families and our photo preferences to make sure that everyone was included and we got exactly what we wanted. She was prompt on the day, and both she and her photography partner were unobtrusive. You won't even think about the fact that you have your own paparazzi, she just blended into the scene and worked her magic. She helped me think of good rainy day locations in advance, as it did drizzle, and her suggestion of the Detroit Public Library was a great one! After the "formal" photos before the ceremony, I barely noticed they were there! I was just so wrapped up in the moment, and they were always close enough to get the right shot, but just out of the way so as to not be right in the centre of the party. We eagerly awaited the photos for the next month or so, and when they arrived - THEY WERE GORGEOUS. It took me a long time to look through them all, but oh my, I'm so glad I did. Some of them are so great, I don't even know how she did it. How did they manage to snap the camera at just the right moment, to capture that perfect smile, that big laugh, that tender look? And how did they do it while I didn't even know they were there at all?? I have all the digital negatives on my computer now, and can't wait to get some prints and an album. In addition to being a great photographer, Shannon is an absolute delight to work with. She gave me bits of advice throughout, and was nothing but sweet, smart, and supportive. She knows weddings, and she will make any bride feel at ease. We cannot recommend her highly enough. Going through our wedding photos is my new favorite hobby! Thanks for all the memories, Shannon
